Weddings in Malaysia have come a long way from the conventional Chinese 8-course banquet dinner where guests includes everyone the couple and their parents know. Couples today tend to prefer small and intimate wedding dinners without having to entertain a hall full of people they do not know. Some beautiful brides have also opted for unique wedding ideas such as beach weddings in Bali or Langkawi or even a garden wedding in Cameron Highlands.
Weddings are now moving away from the noisy “yam seng” or huge crowds towards cosy and elegant dinner parties. Young and modern couples today look forward to enjoying themselves at their dinner as much as their guests do or perhaps letting it loose on the dance floor after the feasting and drinking has been done! It is a great idea as it is your big day after all and you should enjoy every moment of it, surrounded by those you love and who love you in return.
Beautiful little restaurants in KL are increasingly becoming popular for wedding receptions such as these and offer an interesting twist to your wedding dinner. So if you do not have a huge guest list and are looking for a memorable and fun wedding, why not consider the alternative venues list below? Several pointers to keep in mind about these wedding venues is that they tend to have limited space as many of them are old converted bungalows around KL city. Most of these venues can take only a maximum of 15 to 20 tables or approximately 150 guests and usually serve Western or Italian food although some might do Chinese or Malay food as well.
Nevertheless, they are a fantastic wedding venue if you are not looking at having a big wedding banquet with several hundred guests!
