Save the date cards are fun but if you are a bride on a budget, printing additional cards on top of your wedding invitations can be a big wedding budget buster!

Besides creating online Save The Date cards, what else can brides on a budget do? Thanks to a great tip from Cheap Ways To, here’s how you can make your own DIY Save The Date cards easily and cheaply!

  • Make home made signs to inform your guests of your upcoming marriage.
  • Book a quick session in a photobooth with your partner to take some creative and silly photos with the signs.
  • Use PhotoShop to lay it out in an interesting format and style.
  • Print these photos through a cheap photo printer. Or hunt around online for any great printing and shipping bargains!

Send it out and you’re done for a fraction of the cost! :)

Great ideas! There’s always a trade-off between time and money…

These are great ideas if you’re wanting to save some cash, although save the date postcards are pretty affordable when compared to magnets or other novelties.
