Grooms often make the mistake of thinking that all attention on their wedding day will be only on the blushing bride next to them and pay less attention to their own attire. Well, grooms, think again!
A wedding is about two people and while the beautiful bride may command most of the attention, it is not an excuse to the groom to look second class next to his radiant bride. Your wedding day is probably the day you will be photographed the most so here are some tips to ensure the groom looks dapper and stylish on the biggest day of his life.
Always Wear A Well-Fitting Suit
It is important to wear a well-fitting suit. A too-big suit that is hanging loosely or a small jacket where the buttons are bursting will definitely not show off your figure well. A well-cut suit, just like a well designed wedding gown, can hide any body flaws to give a streamlined silhouette. It may be a little more expensive but it will be money worth paying for.
Ensure Your Suit Matches
Always make sure your suit matches. Don’t wear black pants with a dark blue jacket thinking it should be fine as both are dark-coloured. The colour mismatch will show up glaringly in photos and to your guests. Don’t opt for a dark coat with casual khakis too. It is your wedding, not a weekend company event!

Invest In Good Fabric
If you are making your suit, invest in a better fabric. Cheap fabric will not last long and does not have the same quality and shine that good fabric does. Investing in a good suit for the grooms makes good financial sense as they can use it for their work in the future, unlike brides who can only ever wear their wedding gown once!

So brides, when preparing for your wedding, don’t forget that your groom’s attire is just as important as the wedding gown! For grooms, it is your big day so don’t let your best man’s good quality suit eclipse yours!
