Bridal Beauty Tips – Moisturize & Prepare Your Skin

by Elle on August 25, 2009

Beautiful makeup begins with beautiful skin. Before you even start your makeup for your wedding day, always prepare your skin for that big day several months in advance to ensure your skin is ready for the cosmetics and stress of your big day.

Skin that is too dry will appear flakey even under foundation and concealer. In some cases, the makeup you wear might even make your dry skin appear worse which is definitely not something you want immortalised in your wedding photos! So start early by hydrating your skin with suitable hydrating skin care products, drinking lots of water and eating fresh fruits and vegetables for that natural glow from within. Read on for a great moisturiser you might want to try before your wedding day for smooth, soft and moisturized skin.

A great moisturising skincare I used before my wedding was the H2O+  Face Oasis Hydrating Treatment.

H2O+ Moisturiser

It is a lovely hydrating water-based and oil free gel made from marine products which attracts and distributes up to 8 glasses of moisture for your skin! Used lightly, it is a refreshing moisturiser that absorbs quickly and well to plump up your skin from within. Used as a thicker layer, it becomes an excellent mask for keeping your skin moisturised longer especially in airconditioned rooms or dry weather.

Needless to say, flaky and dry skin wasn’t on my stress list during my wedding! :)

With Love,
Elle
