How do you go to the toilet in your wedding gown?
Its a sensitive question but definitely one many brides must be thinking of! Having to walk in a long train or a big ballgown skirt is bad enough but what can you do when nature calls and you’ve been corseted, bustled and nicely buttoned up into your wedding gown? Here are some tips on how you can cope when you simply have to go! 
Use The Hotel Room Bathroom
Brides, you’re lucky if you are holding your dinner in a hotel as most hotel packages will come with a hotel room. It’ll take a little more time to head up to the room in the lift but at least it means privacy and time for you to do your job!
Go When Doing Gown Changes
If you are doing gown changes, that’s the best time to go! Take off your wedding gown and run for the loo before you are buttoned or zipped up again into your evening gown!
Bridesmaids Are The Best
When sticky situations like these arise, your bridesmaids will be your best friends to help you hold up your gown or hoops so you don’t have to stress about your gown getting dirty or wet. It will be best if she was your sister or absolute best friend who doesn’t mind helping you with something so personal!
Face The Toilet
Finally, one last tip from ProjectWedding that seems to have worked for brides all over!
- Walk into the handicapped stall. Remove (don’t just pull down) your underpants.
- Facing the toilet, pull up the front of your dress to your waist.
- Walk straight forward, so you are straddling the toilet, and sit down that way. The train/back of your dress will now be away from the toilet, so you won’t get them wet or dirty.
- Lean forward before peeing. That way, even if you drop the front of the dress onto the seat, you will not pee in its direction.
Whilst bunching up your wedding gown might seem a feasible solution, it will result in ugly wrinkles and nasty accidents if some of that voluminous material slips from your grasp. Definitely not something you want to happen on your wedding day!
Some brides find that they don’t have to go as they are simply too busy and caught up in the adenaline of the moment. However, if you have to or had a bit too much to drink before the ceremony, its nice to know that you can still pee in your wedding gown without stressing out!
