Waxing before a wedding has originated since ancient Egypt where the bride-to-be is prepared for her wedding with lots of pampering, facials and removal of all body hair with sugar solutions! Thankfully, we have more sophisticated methods these days So, how early before your wedding should you do your waxing and tweezing to ensure you look your beautiful best? Read on below!
Facial Hair or Eyebrow Waxing
Just like facials, you shouldn't do any form of waxing or tweezing of facial hair too close to your wedding to avoid red bumps, inflammation or burns from hot wax, even if it is from your regular beautician!
Recommended: Do your facial waxing a week before your actual wedding.
Legs Waxing
Shaving is said to be more effective than waxing. However, you should not do either too close to your wedding either to avoid ingrown hairs, red streaks or worse, razor cuts! Always use a sharp razor and do be careful when waxing your legs!
Recommended: Wax or shave your legs at least 4 days before your actual wedding.
Bikini Waxing
This is the ultimate of all waxing sessions! If it is your first time doing a Brazilian, do make sure you try it several months before your wedding in case your skin reacts and make sure it is only done at a clean and trusted place. You don't want to be spending your wedding day and honeymoon in pain! :P
Recommended: Do your bikini wax at least a week before your wedding.
